Nickel Laterite High Pressure Acid Leach Technology
The nickel laterite HPAL technology adopts concentrated sulfuric acid to agitate and leach laterite ore under high pressure and high temperature, achieving a Ni-Co leaching rate of more than 95%. This system can be used for processing resources of complex composition and low grade and quick and effective leaching out of valuable metals from raw materials to reach a high leaching rate that is unattainable under atmospheric pressure. Characterized by low energy consumption and environmental friendliness, the system can also be used for comprehensive recovery of valuable metals from resources and slag recycling. It is a green and eco-friendly technology with low carbon emission. So far, it has been applied to large-scale projects sites, including PNG Ramu Nickel Laterite Project and Lygend OBI HPAL Project. ① Long-distance slurry piping technology The long-distance pipe for conveying nickel laterite ore adopted by PNG Ramu Nickel Laterite Project is the first long-distance nickel laterite slurry piping project that has been put into operation in the world. The total length of pipes is 135km and four-stage large-flow centrifugal pumps (2,400m3/h) are used to operate in series in short distance, marking the first time to employ pipes with non-standard but uniform inner diameter in the world. ② Solid-liquid separation technology ENFI boasts well-proven and excellent solid-liquid separation technology, featuring a perfect match between process and equipment design and selection, which can save capital costs and operating costs for clients and guarantee the optimum process performance.
